Andreya Maria Black Ministries International, GFCOC Inc.
When I count my blessings, I can appreciate and see what the human eyes can’t, says Connecticut-born Evangelist and Psalmist Andreya Maria Black. This international gospel recording artist has answered the Lord’s calling as a devoted Evangelist. Passionately fulfilling her duties as a minister of His word, she believes the Great Commission is her duty.
A well traveled philanthropist, Black has mentored local and international women to bring the power of God into their lives. An instrument to reveal the Glory of God, she has ministered in Argentina , Africa , and Russia . This remarkable soul believes that ministry is self-less, not selfish! Performing in Russia , she learned the native language and spoke English only to God in her years there. Working as an actress apprentice under the renowned director Anetole Vassliev at his School of Dramatic Arts , she was featured in theatre, television, and film. Additionally, she experienced training actors and dancers in the style of Luigi’s Jazz dance and recorded with celebrated Russian jazz musicians.
With her father and mother as the most significant role models, Black has been influenced by great leaders Kathryn Kulman, Dr. Martin Luther King, Apostle Charles Ndfion, Mahalia Jackson, and Marion Anderson. From the time she was a young girl, her father instilled that she too was an effective leader. With support from her strong-willed grandmothers, she found the eloquence and purpose to follow her destiny.
A firm believer that she needs no man to validate her, Andreya is living proof that this consecrated life works. Placing value on herself and her own spirituality, she empowers other women with her strong example. I don’t need a Mr. Wrong to destroy my life! All I need is a great God to build my life! says this enlightened woman. She credits God’s wisdom that revealed to her the dishonesty and dubious motivations of potential suitors. Able to prophetically speak to these men, they were astounded by her remarkable vision. It was during this time she found a true peace and surrendered to THE CALL to be an EVANGELIST!
She is quoted while mentoring at one of her women’s conferences - sharing with attendees - the power to fulfill your destiny that is possible because God’s love never fails. An invited speaker to Worship Conferences in Uganda , she is a vessel of His love and empowerment. Serving extensively in Africa to build wells, farms, and other developments, Andreya has been instrumental in unifying worshippers in several nations.
On her calling… To me, the highest honor is to serve God. I have nothing to do with why I was chosen – this was God’s business. I made it my business to answer, follow His lead, and help others find peace and fulfillment.
On her music… My first CD was directed by God. The second is a bit different; the Lord spoke to me about a special praise and worship piece. This is very intimate and unique in the way God is leading me.
On travel… I have led Miracle Crusades in Uganda , Africa , felt at home in Moscow , and plan to extend the gospel arts to transform Egypt .
On becoming a spiritual leader… This role is not glamorous, but exceptionally rewarding. This is my passion!
On shame… I am not ashamed of anything I have done! I only make my heritage proud. My past has made me what I am today.
On self-examination… If I compared myself to anyone else I’d likely be depressed and in trouble! One must know who they are in Christ – those who do are uniquely designed to fulfill their destiny…
On finding time for herself… I live life with combined relaxation techniques, deep breathing meditation, exercise, prayer, singing, and abstaining from pernicious situations. I find time for scenic mountain strolls, spa weekends, and the arts.
I have accepted the call to reach the highest levels of His love and worship. He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. He is the stability in an unstable world. Because of His love, I am most fulfilled when I am giving and serving others!
